To schedule an appointment please call our office at 913-362-1600.

    Clinic Times:

    Monday- 9:00am-5:00pm
    Tuesday- 10:30am- 5:00pm
    Wednesday- 10:00am-5:00pm
    Thursday- 9:30am- 5:00pm
    Friday-9:00am- 5:00pm

There are two options when scheduling an appointment. You can either:

1. Schedule for an evaluation only. Dr. Reeves will get an extensive medical history from you on your condition, pain, symptoms, and anything you have had done. Then he will do an examination, and review reports from X-rays or other pertinent evaluations you have received previously.  Dr. Reeves will examine your tendon and ligament attachments and determine where the pain is originating. This will help him determine where he needs to treat. At this time you may also get an approximate cost of treatment and schedule your first treatment visit.

2. You can schedule for an evaluation and treatment for the same day. If you choose to do this please remember that you will have to pay for your treatment at that time. You will also, be required to have a driver. Often, Dr. Reeves uses conscious sedation for larger treatments, and after conscious sedation  we cannot let you drive yourself home.  We will not release you to a taxi driver or to drive on your own.  Note: local anesthetic and use of nitrous oxide are acceptable methods to use that will allow driving after their use, but we don't know how practical these methods are for you until they are tried.

What to bring to your appointment:

If you have had an MRI, x-ray, or other test you would like for Dr. Reeves to see, please bring only the written report. Dr. Reeves does not read films or slides, so those will not be helpful.

Please bring a list of your current medications, and any allergies that you have.

How to prepare for your appointment:

Although antiinflammatory medications such as aspirin may interfere with treatment benefit, it may be important medically for you to not stop taking it.  Be sure to check with our office about the reason why you take it so we can advise properly.   Coumadin cannot be taken within 3 days of treatment if joint injection is planned or 5 days if more extensive injection is planned.  If you are on Coumadin, Lovenox, or Heparin be sure that you are aware of how long you need to be off of the medication before you receive treatment. Your general doctor should be aware that you are having a procedure done that will require you to be off of that medication.  We will also want to know the results of a recent lab test showing how thin your blood is.   For those patients with Parkinson's disease or depression that are taking a monoaminoxidase inhibitor (MAOI),  you need to check with us about sedation changes since Demerol is not good to use  when you are taking an MAOI.   If you are concerned about any other Prescription drug you are taking, please call the office to see if it is okay to continue taking the day of your appointment.

Before you come in: In the event you will receive sedation, it is important to not eat any solid food for a minimum of six hours.  To avoid dehydration, clear liquids such as juices are encouraged up to two hours before the appointment, but for the last two hours sips of water are recommended only as needed.

Remember if you will be treated with sedation you will be required to have a driver.
