Does insurance cover the treatment? Insurance does not cover growth stimulation injection (prolotherapy) at this time. We expect no change in this for several years until prolotherapy becomes standard practice. Prolotherapy is paid at the time of treatment. The initial evaluation is often reimbursible by your insurance carrier depending on your policy. Can you estimate cost of prolotherapy? The cost of prolotherapy depends on the complexity of each person. Only after your initial evaluation by Dr. Reeves can an accurate estimate be made.
Is the prolotherapy all I have to pay for? You are responsible for the prolotherapy cost plus anything your insurance says is your responsibility to pay whether it is deductible, copay, or any other portion your insurance determines to be your deductible.
What about my flex plan? If you have a flex plan or cafeteria plan through your employer you must still pay in full at the time of service for your treatment. We will then give you a statement or receipt that you can turn in for reimbursement.
